Love Rewind

Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Stella had been reborn too.

No wonder she and Charles were suddenly so close in this life when there had been zero connection between them before. They must have confessed their feelings, hoping to pick up where they left off in their past life.

I lowered my eyes, memories of my past life with the Simmons family creeping back.

After marrying in, Simmons Corp had gone through the roof, partnerships flooding in, contracts piling up, and assets growing so fast that they quickly became the richest family in North Boston.

The elders of the Simmons family treated me like a good luck charm, constantly showering me with praise.

Even though Charles remained as distant as ever, I thought I was happy. Until I stumbled upon those photos…

Then one day, my mother came to my room with a surprise: Benjamin was coming back from abroad in five days.

I blinked, confused. In my past life, Charles's uncle had never married.

I didn't expect our arranged marriage to move forward so quickly.

I barely remembered him from my childhood. He'd always seemed like a kind older brother figure. Marrying him didn't seem half bad, especially compared to the other options on the table.

The next day, I was in my studio at the company, finishing up the final touches on my wedding dress design.

Ever since college, when I majored in fashion design, I'd dreamed of creating my perfect wedding dress.

But in my past life, everything I designed was for Charles, everything had to be exactly what he wanted. He never let me add anything I liked, always insisting on his preferences.

Now, I could finally design a dress that reflected my own taste, one that I'd wear to marry someone else.

A few days later, after wrapping up the final alterations, I took a break in the lounge. That's when I saw Stella's post.

In the photo, my wedding dress had been slashed into an ultra-short dress, and there she was, wearing it while grinding on Charles.

[Charles knew I needed a party dress, so he brought this for me~ Being loved feels so good!]

I couldn't believe it. I rushed to the ballroom on the 5th floor.

Stella and Charles were dancing, their bodies pressed together as they swayed to the music, lost in their own world.

"That's my wedding dress! How dare you destroy it like this?" I yelled, fury bubbling up inside me.

Stella immediately switched to full damsel mode, her eyes filling with fake tears.

"Charles... did I do something wrong? Why is sister so angry...?"

Charles stepped in front of her like some overprotective knight. "Natalie, it's just a wedding dress!"

"You're going to wear it for me anyway, so what's the big deal if Stella wears it for a little while?" he sneered.

"Honestly, I didn't even like that style. Why don't you just make a new one? Stop making a scene."

My blood boiled. "Who said it's for you to see? It was supposed to be my wedding dress, for my own wedding!"

Charles just shook his head, smirking. "Enough already. Isn't our wedding our wedding? I've agreed to marry you, so stop with the drama. It's getting old."

My eyes landed on a pair of scissors on a nearby table. Without a second thought, I grabbed them and slashed the fabric near Stella's leg.

"Charles Simmons, since you're so sure of yourself, watch closely," I said, voice ice-cold. "I don't want anything that's been tainted. And I certainly don't want a person who's been dirtied either."

Charles froze, clearly taken aback by my sudden resolve.

In the past, I'd always acted out in a playful, flirtatious way, but now, he saw me serious, cutting all ties without hesitation.

He reached out to stop me, but then Stella's loud crying interrupted him.

"Charles, my leg… I think I've been cut. It hurts so much... but don't worry about me, go after sister… It's all my fault…"

Charles paused, then let out a sharp, bitter laugh as he watched me turn to leave.

"Forget her! A woman like that, consumed by jealousy… she needs to be taught a lesson. Let her stew in her own mess."
